Privacy policy

Thank you for your interest in cat sitting. Protecting your personal data matters to me. This notice explains, under the GDPR, which data I process and why.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted with a provider in Germany / the EU. The provider processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested, browser type) in server log files as needed for operation, security and troubleshooting (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. Contact form

If you send a sitting request via the form, I store the data you enter (name, email, postcode, message) in a database in order to reply and organise care.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and, where you write voluntarily, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries).

If email is enabled in the configuration, a copy of the request is also sent to the configured mailbox. Your address is used as Reply-To.

Data is deleted once it is no longer needed for the request and no statutory retention duties apply.

4. Session cookie

A session cookie is set for the contact form (forgery protection) and the password-protected internal area. It is required to run that function (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is deleted when you close the browser or the session expires. There is no tracking and no advertising. An additional cookie stores your language choice.

5. Fonts

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google (Google Ireland Limited) may process your IP address. If you prefer not to, block third-party requests in your browser – the site remains readable with system fonts.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, where the legal requirements are met. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority – in Saxony that is the Saxon Commissioner for Data Protection.

7. Obligation to provide data

Without the details in the contact form I cannot process a sitting request. There is no legal duty to use the website.
